The Buzz From Britain

The British Awards Nominations are in and Oasis are already the big winners. They will be honored for their "Outstanding Contribution" to music. A pity the award isn't for outstanding contributions to trash talk, or they would have made a killing (perhaps literally) at the annual gala. While Oasis' success cannot be reduced or ignored, there is still something funny about giving them this honor. Maybe it's just the fact that they are bloody wankers who can't seem to tolerate one another, much less anyone else in the world, long enough to produce quality music. Whether it's accusing the fine lads in Green Day of hijacking their sonic mojo, or just verbally bitch smacking modern rockers in general, Liam Gallagher can't seem to learn how to behave properly. But he write tunes and that, like the hokey pokey, is what it's all about. Read below to check out the rest of the noms.

Meanwhile, unsigned Brit-punkers Koopa have made chart history by being the first freelance act to crack the top 40 singles chart. Brilliant job mates!
