John McCain Insults The Beach Boys

Not directly mind you, but vis a vis this misguided joke. Wow, and we thought that John Kerry had a defective sense of humor. In one fell swoop, McCain butchers a 60's surf rock classic in the name of ignorant and dangerous political posturing. When McCain was later interviewed and asked if his comments were insulting, he replied something to the extent that Iran should develop a sense of humor and scoffed at the idea that badmouthing them might not be the best move. To this, MSNBC's Keith Olbermann responded that it was not insulting to Iran so much as it was to the Beach Boys. Amen, Keith.
